Day 2 by: Chen David

Today was another amazing and warm day in Jerusalem. We started with the Great Synagogue of Jerusalem and got to experience what it was like to celebrate Shabbat in Israel. It was very beautiful on the inside filled with mosaic art! After that, we walked back to our hotel and had a lemonade program where we made lemonade based on our identity and strengths. Then we took a short break before lunch. After lunch we met up with our families and friends for visits! I got to see one of my favourite people Lior with Jonah and Daphne. She was our camp councillor last summer. We took many pictures, spent time talking and had ice cream! After an amazing visit with her we got back to the hotel and had a guest speaker named Neil Lazarus. He was a Middle East current affairs guest speaker, who was hilarious, intelligent and very good at doing different accents. After that we changed and walked to a beautiful park and had a third meal before Shabbat ended. We had bamba, cookies (kosher for Passover) and chips. Then we began trivia; we were divided into two teams and had to bid to answer certain questions. It did start to drizzle but of course it was still really hot! My team (the hulk smash) won with three points while the other team had two. Then we headed back to our hotel and changed for a night out on Ben Yehuda Street to have dinner and shop!!! Overall, it was an amazing day and I got really tanned and ate delicious food. I can't wait to see what these next few weeks will bring and I hope I continue to learn new things!
