Off to the North

Off to the North
It is the long-awaited day. Today we head north for our reunion with the Israeli students and the mifgash. First, though, we stopped to see the ancient Roman city of Caesaria. Sierra and Ethan performed for us on the stage of the amphitheatre to demonstrate the remarkable acoustics there. After the requisite ice-cream, we climbed back on the bus for our trip to the Galil. We arrived at Har VaGai at around 2:00. Our Israeli hosts were waiting for us and their was great excitement all around!   There was a welcome assembly with all the grade 9 students. The pen pals had prepared a slide show of their trip to Calgary and all the Calgary kids were introduced. It was then time to board the buses for the first evening with the host families.
